Earlier today at Nintendo’s E3 keynote speach, the latest in their line of DS’s was revealed, the Nintendo 3DS, and before you ask, they have not skipped 2, this DS actually has a 3D screen which does not require any special glasses to view and play in 3D!!! any if you thought that the 3D experience ended their, you were wrong, it looks like Nintendo have also packed a dual camera on the back, which will allow for 3D image capturing!
One of the bold comments from the presenter was: “As we mentioned at the outset, we’re not just raising the bar, but we’re making that bar extend far into the distance. 3D play on the Nintendo 3DS is on the way.”
This was followed by:
“At CES we heard a lot about 3D in your living room… investment there is in the thousands.” Slides show adorable families wearing hilarious 3D glasses. “We think there’s a better way.”
Some of the key features that the device sports are the following:
- Two screens, upper is a 3.5-inch widescreen and can show 3D without need for special glasses
- 3D Depth Slider on the side to maximize or eliminate the 3D depth effect
- Slide pad for analog control (above the 4 way navigation keys on the left)
- Accelerometer

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article
seem to be running off the screen in Chrome.
I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I
figured I’d post to let you know. The design look great though!
Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Thanks
